YOUNG FEMALE SCIENTIST PROGRAMME
2026
A call for applications has been
launched by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), in
collaboration with Okayama University (Japan), within the framework of the
“Young Female Scientist Programme 2026.”
Launched in 2020, this programme
aims to strengthen human capital in developing countries in the fields of
science, technology, and innovation, thereby contributing to the achievement of
the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It offers eligible young female
scientists the opportunity to conduct advanced research activities at Okayama
University for a period ranging from 14 to 30 days, between October and
December 2026.
Eligibility criteria:
Be under 40 years of age.
Hold a PhD degree or be enrolled in a PhD programme.
Demonstrate proficiency in English or Japanese.
Have an excellent academic record.
It is possible to select one
candidate per Regional Conference and one candidate per research entity under
the supervision of the Directorate-General for Scientific Research and
Technological Development (DGRSDT), no later than 13 March 2026, by completing
the attached application form.
