Within the framework of the implementation of the roadmap for the transition toward the University 4.0, in its first phase related to strategic alignment, the modernization of digital infrastructures, and the launch of pilot universities, the National Committee for the Transition to University 4.0 plans to organize a national series of three webinars over three weeks entitled: Transforming Algerian Universities: The University 4.0 Master Class.”

This series is mainly intended for all higher education institutions, in order to gradually support them according to their level of progress in the digital and institutional transformation process. This initiative aims to:

  • Strengthen the alignment of university institutions’ strategies with national orientations in terms of digitalization, quality of education, and smart governance;

  • Present the integrated smart campus model, based on a convergent digital infrastructure (SDN, Wi-Fi 7, FTTO), virtual data centers, intelligent learning platforms (Smart Classes 3.0, artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality), and a unified information security system;

  • Enable universities to identify their technical, organizational, and human resource needs according to their level of digital maturity;

  • Develop an operational roadmap for the period 2026–2027, including network modernization, administrative digitalization, and the adoption of data-driven management mechanisms;

  • Support national digital sovereignty by ensuring data localization and compliance with national cybersecurity standards.

These meetings are organized in partnership with the National Center for Information and Communication Technologies (CETIC) and the company Huawei, as part of the transition toward the practical implementation phase.
