About Us
The laboratory of Industrial Computing and Networking (RIIR) has been created in 2011.
The thematic of the laboratory is multidisciplinary and brings together competences in three main areas of applied computer science: networks, industrial computing and software engineering. The Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and Multimedia axis focuses on applications of WSN and Adhoc networks in the practical and public domain (home automation, environmental monitoring, precision agriculture, e-health, ...). Applications of the Internet of Things (IoT) are also investigated with a strong coupling with new technologies such as AI/ML/DL/RL, Edge/Fog/Cloud computing, Digital Twins and Blockchain. Prototypes are available in the laboratory. The Industrial Computing axis is oriented towards robotic applications and the application of artificial intelligence methods.
The approach of reconfiguration by systems of systems calls upon concepts of automation coupled with those of software development in order to build tools that can intervene remotely (Networks and Middleware) to diagnose/control an industrial or robotic installation.
The research proposals and contributions based on a theoretical formalism essentially graphical (hypergraph theory, Bond-graphs and Petri nets, ...), are validated by dedicated simulators (Omnet ++, Cooja/Contiki, Matlab, PCS7, ...).
The Software Engineering axis is mainly interested in non-deterministic (probabilistic) approaches as well as formal approaches for modeling and software engineering for the design of information systems. Another important aspect is the security of information systems using, among others, UML, UML-Sec, UML Profile.
Finally, the laboratory, rich of the experience of its researchers, supports several Master and Doctorate courses in the field of data models of information systems and in emerging networks and distributed systems; and participates in several national research and development projects (PNR, PRFU, Maghreb Emballage, Hyproc...) and international cooperation (PRIMA, Polytech Lille, University of Pau, Nancy, ...).
Objectives
Enable our teachers, PhD and students to:
- Learn from constantly updated experts about new technologies and innovations in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Participate in a practical training session with the most popular Artificial Intelligence tools
- Familiarize yourself with the functionalities and strengths of AI and learn how to integrate them effectively into our educational and scientific research missions.
- Understand the technical and strategic foundations of AI.
- Apply case studies through workshops.
- Accelerate the deployment of AI in our research laboratory.
- The pedagogical aim of this event is to give our students a capacity for reflection and a critical sense on the subject of Artificial Intelligence, while enabling them to understand the impact they will have in terms of responsibilities as future Masters / engineers in the field of AI and Machine Learning.
